After his wife died he hired calpurnia and she basically became a mother to jem and scout.And she was there to help Atticus with some decisions.
I believe Atticus represents morality and generosity in
To kill a mockingbird. Atticus is also very comfortable on his decision he never really had to rethink on an issue.
Atticus is a very good parent.He also wants to
do what's right for them and never uses bad language or abuse them
