Road to Emmaus

Although they were with Jesus, they still did not know him!

Many Don't Know Who God Is

• Is he a created being? Angel? Good man? (Mt. 3:16-17)
• Christ is the eternal logos. (Jn. 1:1-3; Jn. 8:58)
• Jesus always has been, and always will be. (Phil. 2:5-8)

Many Don't Know the Life of Jesus

• See Jesus as helpless and not knowing His true mission (Mt. l6:21; Lk. 9:44)
• Jesus: birth, youth, temple, miracles, suffering, death, burial and resurrection (I Cor. 15:3-4)

Many Don't Know the Teachings of Jesus

• Jesus hoped the disciples, with whom he walked, would know him. But some did not.
• Today, many are ignorant of His word.
• We have to preach the Word in order for people to know the teachings of Jesus. (Acts 8:5, 35; 1 Thess. 1:8)
