5 Lessons for the beginers with redactle

Published on Jun 01, 2023

If you're looking for a fun way to unwind while taking on some challenging word puzzles, check out Redactle, an intriguing guessing game based on Wordle.

HOW TO PLAY

My take on it is the browser-based word puzzle game Redactle. I just made it public today, and I hope more people will check it out! The goal is simple: find the name and topic of a random article on Wikipedia. The only catch is that the content of the article has been stripped down to just punctuation and a few everyday words. We utilize Wikipedia's list of 10,000 most important articles to select each issue, so we never have to worry about picking a one-paragraph page about some obscure town in MiddleOfNowhere by accident. Some Redactles, however, are notoriously tricky to decipher.

SUCCESS PRINCIPLES

If you type a word into the guess box, the word will appear in the main text of the website.

This term will always be present.

Try to guess the article's title as few or as many times as possible and be as correct as possible.

On any given day, all users will be presented with the identical puzzle. A new puzzle will be available daily at 11:00 AM Central Standard Time (16:00 UTC).

MAIN ATTRIBUTES There are multiple challenging stages, each with its own collection of tiles.

There is no time limit on any of the levels.
