9/11, APOLLO11, CIVIL WAR, DECLORATION OF INDIPENDANCE, VIETNAM WAR

9/11
9/11 was a travesty that killed many people. Two hijacked planes flew into the World Trade Center and killed first responders and innocent people. A bad terrorist group planned the whole thing and had many other targets including the White House.

Apollo 11
On July 20,1969 American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin became the first ever humans to land on the moon. Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon. As he took his first step he famously said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind".

Civil War
America's bloodiest war, the sectional conflict of the civil war pitted the Union against the Confederate States of America. The war resulted in the death of more than 620,000 with millions more injured.

Declaration of independance
When armed conflict between American Colonists and British Soldiers began in April 1775 the Americans were fighting for their own rights as subjects of the British crown. The Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence–written largely by Jefferson–in Philadelphia on July 4, a date now celebrated as the birth of American independence.

Vietnam War
The Vietnam war was a long, costly armed conflict that pitted the communist regime of North Vietnam and its southern allies. The war, increasingly unpopular at home ended with the withdraw of U.S. Forces
