• To enter Islam you must pronounce Shahada aloud in the presence of two Muslim witness

Salat

• Salat emphasizes religious discipline, spirituality, and closeness to God
• Can pray anywhere
• Must use a clean place like a prayer rug
• Men are separated from Woman
• Must perform washing rituals before prayer

Zakat

• Must share 2.5% of surplus money per year
• Helps purify wealth
• Encouraged to give more
• Can give to a official or giveout yourself
• Helps feed the hungry, makes sure everyone has clean water, gives travelers a place to sleep

Siyam

Siyam

• Can not eat or drink from daybreak to sunset
• Ramadan teaches genorosity, equality, and charity
• Ramadan was the month when God revealed his message to Muhammad
• Celebration after Ramadan
• Break fast with dates

Hajj

Hajj

• Walk 7 laps counter clock wise around the Ka'bah
• Men get hair shaved, Women get trimmed
• Throw stones at the devil
• Men wear 2 pieces of white clothing, Woman wear modest cloths
• Drinking from the Zamzam well
