SHAHADA

- It is believed that wealth becomes pure when it is shared
- Must share 2.5% or more of there surplus money
- Helps provide for things like fountains and orphanages
- Is similar to charitable giving in other religions
- Reminder of God’s great gifts to them
SIYAM
- Teaches self control and shows what it is like to be hungry
- The fast is normally broken with dates
- A few people are excused from fasting
- They go to special prayer services each night
- At the end of Ramadan, a celebration called Eid al-fitr takes place
HAJJ
