What are the 5 pillars of Islam? The 5 pillars of Islam are 5 acts of worship required in all Muslims.

THE 5 PILLARS ARE,

  • "There is no god but god, and muhammad his prophet"
  • Praying 5 times a day
  • Giving to the poor and needy
  • Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan
  • Traveling to mecca at least once during Hajj

THE FIRST PILLAR

  • "There is no god but god, and Mahammad is his prophet"
  • You cannot believe in anyone else but god
  • You must believe Muhammad is gods messanger, or prophet
  • You must say this phrase always

THE SECOND PILLAR

  • Pray 5 times a day
  • Before the sunrise, at midday, late afternoon, after sunset, before bed
  • Muslims must pray everyday
  • Muslims may go to the temple to pray and learn

THE THIRD PILLAR

  • Give to the poor and needy
  • This shows kindness in the islamic culture

THE FOURTH PILLAR

  • Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan
  • During this fasting you are not allowed to eat
  • It shows that god is more important than your needs
  • It allows them to know and be aware of places that dont have enough food
