PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The longitude lines can be found on the sides of the soccer field, the angle of a curved road that lead to the coordinate, and the edges of the primary and fine arts buildings. The longitudes lines run north and south of the school campus.
However, latitude lines run east and west. The position of the primary buildings, the fine arts building, and the angle of the roads located on the side of the school were utilized to determine the latitude lines.
The coordinate of the previous image is the flag posted on one of the corners of the school basketball court. This destination is a coordinate through the interpretation that one designated longitude and one latitude intersect at that point.
The environment surrounding the school can concluded to be mainly grass with little amounts of trees scattered across the landscape. This can be stated through physical characteristics that are observed. Including living organisms and landforms that are located nearby. For example, the domain has countless trees and open grass that can clearly demonstrate that the territory is a plain.
Human characteristics, although, are the traits created through ideas from humans, rather than nature. The buildings that are found in the environment can draw us to the conclusion that the area is a school zone through the countless classrooms, playground, and sport related areas on the campus.
The movement of goods can be found in the Cafeteria through the school giving students food for the price of currency. Food and money are dominate goods that can illustrate movement in a geographic location.
Once the school wished to gain more students, Westlake Academy modified the campus by building another Gym/Cafeteria to accommodate to the PYP program students to utilize for their needs.
Westlake Academy is located in a region called a plain. A plain is a large area with a flat surface with little trees. Observations of the climate, plants, animals, and landforms are determine the region of a certain location.
