LOCATION (LITTLE)

  • There are 2 types of location: relative and absolute and relative
  • Relative location is using a nearby place to locate another place
  • Sometimes we use cardinal points to locate that place.
  • Absolute is using longitude and latitude to locate the exact point
  • The ceiling tiles represent longitude and latitude lines.

PLACE (PIGS)

  • Physical characteristics are the things that are natural to the environment
  • In the picture, the tree is a physical characteristic of the field
  • Human characteristics are things that are made from the ideas of humans
  • In the picture, the track is a human characteristic of the field.

MOVEMENT (MAKE)

  • There are 3 kinds of movement: people, ideas & goods
  • The lunch line represents the movement of people because people move through it
  • The microphone represents the movement of ideas because the idea of
  • the microphone spread from country to country.
  • Snacks represent movement of goods because goods were shipped from other countries

HUMAN/ENVIROMENT INTERACTION (HENRY)

  • Is how humans interact with the enviroment
  • We modified the the earth by pouring concrete on the ground to make the bus circle
  • We depended on the environment because we needed the land to build the bus circle
  • We adapted to the environment because we built the bus circle so the buses could pass through

REGION (RUN)

  • Region is a place that shares 1 or more common characteristic
  • An example of a region could be the library because has lots of
  • books and tables, and it shares one or more commojn characteristic
