5th amendment

What you can't be

• You cant be tried twice for the same crime
• You cant be deprived of life, liberty, and property without the due process
• Your private property can't be taken for public use without compensation  
• You can't be compelled to be a witness against himself

This amendment is very important because its makes the law fair and just. It helps you not get cheated out or forced to do anything you don't want to do while your on trial. It's a huge individual freedoms protector. This helps everyone get a fair trial no matter what.
