THIS ROCK HAS BROKEN FROM FROST WEDGING.

Near Margo's Tree

Tree roots have broken this rock.
Near small yellow house.

Small plants have wedged in, between the cracks.
Blacktop.

THE ROCKS HAVE LAYERS THAT ARE PEELING.

ACTUAL FOUNTAIN IN PRAYER GARDEN.

Lichens are growing on this rock.

HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF

CHEMICAL WEATHERING:

This metal bar has rusted because of carbon dioxide.
In front of the office.

The chain under the middle school tables have rusted.

These rocks have been smoothed by running water from the fountain. In Prayer Garden Fountain

There are different ways to prevent erosion and weathering.
