Rule #1 - Respect

  • When responding to any adult, you must respond by saying, "Yes, ma'am" or "No, sir." It is not acceptable to just nod your head or say only yes or no.
  • In addition, make eye contact when someone is speaking. Keep your eyes on that person. If someone else makes a comment, turn and face that person.

  • Learn the names of other staff members in our building and greet them by their name and respond to them if spoken to.
  • Do not smack your lips or roll your eyes or disrespect with gestures.

Rule #2 - Affirm

  • If someone in the class wins a game or does something well, congratulate that person.

  • Do not save seats in the lunchroom. Do not exclude ANYONE.
  • At school settings and functions, treat others with respect and kindness.
  • Look for opportunities to perform random acts of kindness.

Rule #3 - Manners

  • It is important that you always say, "thank you" when we give you something. There is no excuse for not showing appreciation.
  • When given something, NEVER insult that person by making negative comments about the gift or show lack of appreciation.

  • If you bump someone or run into someone, say, "Excuse me", even if it was not your fault.
  • Hold doors open for others when you can
  • Wait for class to exit before entering. Remain in line quietly outside of the classroom.

Rule #4 - Responsibility

  • Please understand that homework is to be turned in each day in each subject without exception.
  • Homework: 1 day late - 50% - after that the grade becomes a 0

  • If anyone is bullying you, tell a staff member. We are here to look after and protect you. No one should make you feel uncomfortable.

  • DO NOT take matters into your own hands.
  • We are committed to stop bullying but we can't do that if we don't know.
  • Stand up against bullies!!

  • No matter what the circumstances always be honest. If you've done something wrong, admit it. We will respect you more and perhaps forgo some discipline.
