Catholic Social Teachings

Life and dignity of the human person
From the moment a human person is conceived they are created equally in the image and likeness of God. Every human person was put on this Earth for a purpose. We are God's gift to the world.
Image and likeness of God
“I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you're grateful, you'll see God open up new doors.”
- Joel Osteen
Call to Family, Community and Participation
We are called to respect All God's creations with care and love. Humans are created to participate in each others lives. We are called to be a community and a family with God.
Helping others out of love
“We cannot just worry about ourselves.”
- Pope Francis
Rights
and
responsibilities
As children of God, we are called to take responsibilities and each person has equal rights to one another. Everyone has a right to life and dignity.
Balancing work and family
“We all have the duty to do good.”
- Pope Francis
Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
Our society today believes that there are two divisions, which are the rich and poor. God instructs us to put the poor and vulnerable people's needs before our own. This means there shall be economic justice for all.
Money is all people seem to care about nowadays and they should start thinking about more important responsibilities.
People Take advantage of money
“Money has to serve, not to rule.”
- Pope Francis
The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers
Each human has a special obligation and job to help those who are poor and in need of support. We also need to help those that cannot defend nor protect themselves. The rights of workers should be respected. Serving and working is a way of honoring God.
Everyone Deserves equal pay whether they are a man or a woman.
Every job should be respected.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
- Confucius
As humans of God's family we are all united into one. We all have the same responsibilities as humans. We all have the same interest, or goal, which is to be happy, and it is the same for others.
SHOWING LOVE FOR ON ANOTHER
RESPECT & SHOWING KINDNESS FOR ONE ANOTHER
“To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one people, one nation, one flag.”
- Pauline Hanson
This teaches us that as humans we are called to take care of all God's creations. God is the creator of creations, we must care for the environment because it is our home on Earth. We must take care of the plants, animals, our surroundings, ourselves, and most importantly others.
“While I know myself as a creation of God, I am also obligated to realize and remember that everyone else and everything else are also God's creation.”
- Maya Angelou
