STONE HENGE

Stonehenge, in many peoples' minds, is the most mysterious place in the world. This set of stones laid out in concentric rings and horseshoe shapes on the empty Salisbury Plain, is, at the age of 4,000 years, one of the oldest, and certainly best preserved, megalithic ancient stone structures on Earth, but we still do not know who built it. Stonehenge is located in Wiltshire England .

  • The area beneath the Colosseum was called the Hypogeum (meaning underground). The hypogeum consisted of two-level subterranean network of tunnels and 32 Pens for animals had 80 vertical shafts which provided instant access to the arena for animals and scenery. The colosseum is located in the center of Rome .
