8 CHARACTERISTICS OF LIFE
CELLS
We chose to use a plant because plants are composed of cells. Also because the plant has many parts to it and cells have many parts as well.
COMPLEX
ORGANIZATION
For complex organization we chose to do a person because the human body is a complex organism and in the body we have different parts of organization with the different body systems.
METABOLISM
We chose this picture because when you have a high metabolism you can eat whatever you would like but, if you have a low metabolism you have to be more mindful about the food you eat.
HOMEOSTASIS
We used a picture of Jordan balancing because homeostasis is the tendency toward relatively stable equilibrium that helps balance the body.
HEREDITY/REPRODUCTION
We chose this picture because this is a picture of a husband and wife with their daughter and the making of the daughter was the process of reproduction.
RESPONSIVENESS
We chose to do a picture of someone being punched because as he is punched the body is responding by flinching away from the fist.
GROWTH
For growth we put two pictures of my cat as a baby and how he looks now, because it represents the amount of growth he has had in size.
ADAPT TO ENVIRONMENT
We chose a tree as an example of adapt to environment because, during the different seasons the tree changes color as an adaption to the climate change, in the environment.
