It was around 8:30 A.M. when my dad heard the news on the radio. He reported it to my mom, who was in disbelief because my dad often joked about big incidents. He left without explaining what had happened and my mom shrugged it off.
That day was during the month where my mom was not working to take care of me (about a month old). The news of 9/11 wasn't entirely frightening to them because they had no immediate connection to the event.
My mom and dad drove me to the doctor's clinic to get weighed, but it was closed. My mom made a guess that it was because of 9/11 (from my parent's journal recordings)
My mom also wrote in her journal that she wanted to discuss the terrorism with me when I grew older since I am an American citizen and would likely have different views than theirs.
The events of 9/11 struck terror into millions of Americans. U.S.A had never experienced a terrorist attack before. This brought everyone to wonder why and how it was possible that two off the most important towers in America were struck. It took away a sense of security in the country and for days people were scared that they were next. People have remembered this one day for years and tell their children about this event and every yer there is always a remember acne to those who died and those who sacrificed their life for others.
The 9/11 attack was when I was only one month old. However, it still affects my life and everyone else's today. Terrorist attacks are still plaguing the world today but America is on guard because it has happened before and we are prepared. The terrorist attack also shows that no country is safe and that we must always stand ready to fight and sacrifice because anything can happen.
