THEOLOGY SET 1

Once upon a time, long ago, there was a band of pirates on a quest to find the fabled golden Treasure of Old. This precious treasure was rumored to be located on a far off island properly named "The Golden Island".

The captain, Captain Flinn McFlinn, steered the grand Arrabelle along with his crew on their journey to find the treasure. His shipmates consisted of his first mate Tate, Lynch, Rhys, Iris the fairy, and the cabin boy Peter.

It took a total of six months to find the Golden Island, and by the time the crew of the Arrabelle had arrived they were tired, hungry, homesick, but most of all they were sick of being around eachother. Once they reached land they split off, not caring that the captain was the only one with the map.

Lynch and Rhys headed northwest, Peter headed east with Iris following close behind him critiquing his posture, and Captain Flinn and his first mate Tate headed in the right direction, north east, to find the treasure.

By the time it reached sun down on the island not any of the pirates had found treasure. They had all meet back on the beach where the ship was docked . After setting up camp, the crew went to sleep. Captain Flinn, his heart being set on finding the treasure, didn't rest but instead continued searching for the gold.

He looked for hours upon hours, he looked for so long without any luck that he started to think that he had the wrong map. After a while, he came upon a strange monkey. It hung from a branch on a palm tree and stared intently down at the captain. Confused, Captain Flinn waved at the animal.

"Hello?" The captain said lacking his usual confidence. To his surprise, the monkey replied to his greeting. "Guten Tag, mein Herr. Wenn ich mich nicht irre, sind Sie etwas suchen? Darf ich helfen?" Said the monkey. Captain Flinn's jaw dropped. "What?" He asked, flabbergasted. The monkey swung down from the palm tree and waddled up to the captain, studying him.

"Ah I see," said the monkey in a thick German accent, "You only speak English. What I was saying was, it seems that you are looking for something. May I be of assistance?" Captain Flinn contemplated the thought of letting a talking German monkey help him for a moment. "Yes... Yes you can. My name is Captain Flinn McFlinn, captain of the Arrabelle, I am here with my crew looking for the treasure of Old. It's supposed to be here." The monkey shook his head. "Ah, more pirates. Yes, I know of this treasure and yes I know of its location. I shall lead you there." The monkey began to head south. Jumping with joy, the captain followed. "By the way," said the monkey, "If we are to spend time together, mister Captain, you should know my name is Claus."

Claus brought the captain to a lagoon where pieces of gold were scattered across the sand and strewn across the water. "There used to be more." Said Claus. "Usually pirates just come by and take what they can carry." Before Claus could finish his sentence, the captain was already gathering gold. "Thank you, thank you!" Captain Flinn beamed with pure happiness. Little did Claus know, the Captain did not plan to bring the gold back to his shipmates. "Shouldn't you go get your crew and bring them back here so they can collect their share?" The monkey asked. Captain Flinn shook his head. "Oh no, the plan was never to share the gold. None for them, more for me, haha!" Claus placed his hand on the captains shoulder.

"Captain, your crew worked just as hard as you and sacrificed even more to find this treasure. Don't they deserve their cut?" Captain Flinn sighed. "You're right, Claus. Gods, it was selfish of me to think that I could take all of this for myself. Thank you." The captain took all the gold he could carry, then handed Claus some to carry too. They both headed back to camp to fairly distribute the treasure. The crew was grateful for the captains discovery and surprised to find a talking German monkey handing them gold early in the morning.
