PRESENTATION OUTLINE
A Presentation On Presentations
The following presentation will help improve your presentations, and will cover verbal presentations, and the actual presentation. Follow these tips to achive a better presentation.
Fonts
There shouldn't be a lot of different fonts or fancy fonts in your presentation. Simple is better--it helps make sure that your words are readable and your slides cleaner. Fonts like Helvetica and Arial are rather simple, and will help achieve that goal.
Sizes
This is quite similar to fonts, but you shouldn't have different sizes in one slide. Of course the title and subtitles should be bigger then the text, but make sure both are readable and clean. Don't make the size insanely big or small.
Colors
Colors actually help make your presentation be more engaging. That being said, don't go over board with the colors . The colors should still have the text be readable, so the background colors should contrast with the text colors. Make sure the colors are not too bright, and don't put too many colors in one presentation. They should work well with each other, that way your presentation looks nice and clean.
Text Format
Your text should, again be readable and clean. The text format should hook your readers on, and don't put too many words on one slide. That way, you can actually present. Also, this may come as a shocker, but don't put too many bullet points, as it will cause your readers to lose interest. The text can be formatted anyway you want, but probably would be better if it followed these rules.
Features to Make Your Presentation More Engaging
There's no doubt that your presentation needs to be engaging, hook your watchers. The following slides will include ways to make your presentation more engaging.
Photos
There should be a lot of photos, rather than words-so your audience can become more engaged with your presentation, and also get a clear visual on your presentation's topic. It's a good idea to have a photo for your first slide-almost like a cover. Photos make your presentation more engaging.
Transitions
Of course there are a lot of engaging features that aren't present in this presentation, though transitions is what I want to focus on. Transitions does make your presentation more engaging. But, like colors, don't put too many different ones. Keep them simple, and don't make them so unique to the point of the audience being distracted of your presentation topics. Your features should add an engagement, but not make the presentation about it.
Presentation Skills
Presentation skills are key to making your whole presentation wrap it off. Here is a count off of presentation skills to use. First off, don't maintain eye contact with the audience the whole time. Here's a rule, keep your eyes above their head. That way it isn't too odd, but not distorted vision either. Speak clearly, and move around a lot. Make sure your audience can hear, as well as be comfortable with what you're saying. That's the wrap off of presentation skills.
The End!
This is the end of this presentation. Put these techniques to good use on your presentation! I hoped you learned something!
