Between 1411 and 1413 he sculpted St. Mark, this was placed in the exterior of Orsanmichele Church
In 1430 an art patron commissioned him to sculpt a second statue of David but this time in bronze
At a young age, he helped Lorenzo Ghiberti make the bronze doors for the baptistery of the Florence cathedral
In 1450, Donatello completed a bronze statue called Gattamelata, shown as the background
