I identify with him by being a male. Also he grew up on a farm and was a hard worker like me.
In 1863 he wrote the emancipation proclamation which freed slaves in confederate states. Also in the days after his assassination the 13th amendment was ratified.

He affected history by abolishing slavery and keeping the Union together during the civil war.

Lastly he was born February 12th 1809 in a log cabin in Kentucky. And died April 14th 1865.
