During Abe's child hood
Was rough.Abe was born in a crude log cabin in kentucky. Eighteen feet long and sixteen feet wide and it only had a dirt floor and no windows.
Abe's father, Thomas Lincoln, was a very quiet and hard-working man. He was also famous for his honesty
Abraham Lincoln was mostly self-educated. He taught himself everything he needed to know
His formal school was intermittent, the aggregate of which may have amounted less than twelve months. He never attended college.
Abe had a pretty big family. He had multiple siblings. His siblings were Sarah lincoln,Grigsby Lincoln and
Abe always wanted to be part of congress. And he was elected in 1837 . After six years in legislature Lincoln decided it was time to do something bigger and more important
Lincoln was scared though
Because he suffered from depression and was worried that his depression could go against him
Lincoln moves to Springfield in 1837 and it was the biggest place he had ever lived in. He worked at his friends law firm where he kept track of the paper work. He wasn’t very good at it at this. He had a habit of carrying important papers around in his tall stovepipe hat
And sometimes he lost them
The state government was only in session for part of the year. There wasn’t enough business for a lawyer in Springfield. Lincoln had to travel to towns all around the state twice a year a judge visited all

Throughout Lincoln's life he was in many parts of Congress.
