• He was president from 1789-1797.
• He lived in Philadelphia during his presidency.

Causes and effects of presidency

• Cause- It was because of the Revolutionary War he became president.
• Effect- He set all the examples for all the other presidents. Ex: Two terms

Why we learn about george washington

• We learn about him because he is who started America.
• So we can understand why all the other presidents do the things they do.
• If it weren't for him we would probably be being ruled by a king right now.

wHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF HE NEVER BECAME PRESIDENT

• Every other president would be serving more than two terms.
• They might become power hungry and become tyrants.
