ABOUT ME

My name is Emily Marie Blair. I was named this because my parents simply liked the name. Emily comes from the Latin word aemulus, meaning to rival. Marie is the middle name of many of my relatives, so it was decided it would be mine as well. Blair is a popular Scottish last name that originated in the village of Blair in the county of Ayrshire in Scotland.

My Family:
I have a mom, a dad, a brother, and a sister. My mom's name is Katie and my dad's name is Jimmy. My brother Logan is 15 and a sophomore at De La Salle, and my sister Morgan is 9 and in 4th grade at Christ the King. We have two pets, a dog and a bird.

Someone I Admire:
Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice of the Spice Girls) is someone I admire because although she was a famous pop singer as a young woman, she did not grow up to be spoiled or mess up her life. She married David Beckham and they now have four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. She is an excellent mother and a successful fashion designer.

My Faith:
I was baptised into the Catholic Church when I was a baby like many other people and I grew up with the faith. I went to Christ the King Catholic School from kindergarten to eighth grade. I go to church there with my family on Sundays and I know plenty about scripture from religion classes in school. My faith practically surrounds me in my daily life. I sometimes wonder that if I went to a different school that didn't teach religion if I would be a different person. I was raised with bible teachings and it definitely influences who I am today.
