14. Salvation history, properly so-called, begins with Abram, whom God named Abraham which means “father of a multitude.” Abraham was the first patriarch of the people of Israel. The word patriarch means “the father of the people.” In the person and life of Abraham, the central events of the salvation of the world by Christ in the New Testament have been prefigured.
15. Isaac, appearing as a prefiguration of the Saviour over two thousand years before the Birth of Christ, foreshadowed, according to God’s will, Jesus Christ. He, like Jesus Christ, went without complaint to the place of sacrifice. As Jesus Christ bore the Cross Himself, so Isaac himself carried the wood for the sacrifice. (abraham offered him)
16. God reveals that he is a good leader to us. He is a good leader because he lead Abraham through allot of things. It shows he's a good leader because Abraham is a good leader and he must of learned how to be a good leader from God.
17. We are encouraged to listen to God. We are encouraged to listen to him because whenever Abraham listened to him, he succeeded. And because Abraham took God's advice, he is now a good leader and being a good leader is a good trait to have.
