King of Spain in 1556 to 1598.
When he married queen Mary he was the king of England. Under his rule the Spanish reached their height.
He directed explorations all over the world.
He tried to attack Protestant England but failed on the attack.

Known as Louis the great was the monarch at the house of bourbon who ruled the king of France from 1634 until death.
His reign of 72 years was the longest of monarchs in major power in European history.
While he was at reign France was the leading European power.
Days before his death Louis was succeed by his 5 year old great grandson.

IVAN THE TERRIBLE
Ivan the terrible was the great prince of Moscow from 1533 to 1547.
His long reign saw the conquest Khanates of Karzan.
Ivan managed countless changes in the progression from medival state to and empire and emerging regional power.
He was deemed intelligent even though he had a lot of outbreaks of mental illnesses.

PETER THE GREAT
Peter the great who ruled from 1682 to 1725 worked to modernize and westernize his empire.
Peter tried to gain access to the coastline of the Baltic Sea.
He conquered that area and built a new capital and named it after himself st Petersburg.
He set up schools and established and academy of science to promote new learning.

HENRY VIII
Was the king of England from 1509 until death.
Henry was the second monarch of the Tudor dynasty.
Besides his six marriages he is known for the separation of the Church of England.
In 1513 Henry allied with maxillam and invaded France with a large army. Henry finally died in 1547.

ELIZABETH I
Was queen from 1558 to death.
She was born until royal succession.
Elizabeth set out to rule by good counsel,and she depended heavily on a group of trusted advisers led by William Cecil, Baron Burghley.
One of her first moves as queen was the establishment of an English Protestant church, of which she became the Supreme Governor.
