PYRAMIDS SYMBOLIZE EGYPT
*Tombs symbolized Egypt to most of us
*simple grave covered in gravel
*Kings/high workers had dried mud brick, for a grave.

IDEA OF A PYRAMID
*pyramid was meant to re-create the top of benben stone.
*wanted to help the pharaoh's have eternal life

*Pyramids required careful planning
*They put it high above flood plain

STONES
*Names as "Boat Gang" and "Enduring Gang" have been found on stones
*Used copper tools to cut limestone
*There were mostly limestone blocks

CONSTRUCTION CREWS
*Some laborers were prisoners
*The laborers that dragged stones were not slaves
*Workers would be payed by food
