ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 1,2, AND 3

CHAPTER 1-1

• Theophilus 1 dealt with everything Jesus did and taught
• While meeting with the apostles waited for the promise of God
• You will be baptized with the Holy Spirit
• " Lord are you going torestore the Kingdom of Israel "
• "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father ahe made by his own athority

CHAPTER 1-1 CONTINUED

• In other words - you will not need to know what the Lord has planned
• "But you will receive the Holy Spirit along with power"
• When Jesus said this he was lifted up onto the clouds to be with God
• While watching this two men in white garments stood beside them and asked
• "Why are you watching the sky the Lord has been taken from you and sent to be with his Father

CHAPTER 1-2

• Peter: "My brothers the scripure has been fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke through david
• They prayed " You Lord who know the hearts of all show which one of these two you
• Have chosen to take place in the apostolic ministery from which Judas turned away to go to
• His own place
• Matthias was counted as one of the apostles

CHAPTER 2-1

• Pentaclst was fulfilled all one place
• Noise from the sky - driving wind - filled house
• Tongues of fire - parted and rested on each
• Could speak different tongues - enabled them to proclaim
• Yet we hear them in our own tongues

CHAPTER 2-1 CONTINUED

• What does this mean - they had to much wine
• Peter spoke to the crowd in different tongues
• He proclaimed that God would come and save them
• "God raised this Jesus and we are all witnesses
• Lord say oh Lord sit at my right hand

CHAPTER 2-2

• Apostles devoted themselve to preaching
• Many wonders done threw them
• People sent stuff and was divided among them
• Devoted to spend time in temple
• Praising God

CHAPTER 3-1

• Crippled man asked apostles for help
• They say look at me and wala he is cure
• He leaped up praising God
• People reconized him as the one who was begging
• They relized he was cured and they filled with amazment

CHAPTER 3-1 CONTINUED

• Peter- why are you amazed - God has glorified
• You denied thw Holy Spirit
• Now i know you brothers acted out of ignorance
• Repent for your sins maybe wiped away

CHAPTER 3-2

• For moses said that God will raise you up
• Apostles taught gospel
• Once you have repented
