In Afghanistan, they currently do not have gender equality, and like most other countries, males dominate the females. Our model demonstrates this situation as the angels being the girls are trapped in the devils head which represents a male. Additionally the angels represent freedom which then demonstrates that the freedom is trapped in a big cage. The size of the angels are also significantly smaller than the devil. this symbolises the inequality of the influence women have compared to the men. Our whole project was made of recyclable materials, which shows that we strongly prefer taking care of the environment. The tie on the bottom of the head also represents that it is a male, as males mostly wear ties. The angels have wings, meaning they can fly, however they have wings but yet they still cannot escape the cage they are stuck in. The angels hands are holding onto the bars, showing they want to escape the cage they are stuck in. The devil has red ears, made of red coloured cans. However with only the ears, the devil may appear as another anime/creature, as many animals have ears. Our model has been mistaken as a cat, thus why we added a devil tail, making it obvious that it is a devil. For the wings of the angel, the wings are not perfect but instead with some wrinkles this represents that the angels have been suffering for a long time that their wings are no wonder perfect and are starting to crease and wrinkle. However being able to control gender equality is hard, and will take a lot of work, which most people would not want to do it. This is why our cage does not have a lock and key. Meaning the angels will be stuck in the cage forever.
