AFRICA DOCTOR AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS

BY: LOGAN KELLEY

What would happen if Africa had enough doctors and medicine? How many lives could have been saved? How many diseases could have been cured?

What is happening
Africa doesn't have enough doctors to help sick people. Tons of people are dying because they don't get medical care fast enough. If they had enough doctors how many diseases could be stopped.

Hospitals/Clinics
Africa's hospitals and clinics lack basic equipment . They also lack medicine to give to people who are sick.

Diseases
Tons of people in Africa are sick and dying from diseases everyday. Here are 2 of the diseases people suffer from in Africa.

Malaria
Malaria is one of the worst diseases in Africa. Malaria is spread from Mosquitos. It is common in Africa at the boarders because the boarders are humid and hot

Trachoma
Trachoma is a bacterial eye infection that can lead to blindness. This is why most of the people in Africa have a hard time seeing.

Those are just a few of the bad diseases in Africa. This is what hundreds of people die from in Africa due to lack of medicine and doctors.

Solutions
Countries around the world have been trying to help Africa with this problem. Schools and collages are training new doctors to go to Africa to help sick and injured people. Charities like the American Red Cross and Salvation Army have been collecting donations to give to Africa to get better equipment in their hospitals and get more medicen.

Conclusion
Africa has made some improvement on dropping the numbers of infected people with bad diseases. If more people around the world donate some money to charities they could help Africa raise money to get new hospitals and more medicen. If enough people help and enough money is raised, Africa might just be be able to end this bad problem.
