We also go to my grandmas house and open gifts there.
My mother cooks and family comes over and we eat , and exchange more gifts.
My mother and father lets us open one gift on December 24th .
We go to our grandmas house on December 24th and stay up until 12:00 pm and then start opening gifts.

FOOD
Sometimes my granny cooks soul food on Sundays.
Soul food is greens,macaroni,fried chicken,cornbread,cabbage and etc . . .
My family likes to taste different foods from all over , like on Tuesdays we eat tacos and enchiladas.
We also eat a lot of common foods like hamburgers , frenchfries, pizza and etc. . .
Most African Americans eat okra with their food , but my family chooses not to.

MUSIC
African Americans listened to a lot of music like soul, jazz, blues etc. . .
They also listened to a lot of rock and roll , and gospel.
Today a lot of African Americans listen to hip hop , gospel , R&B , soul etc. . .
We still are listening to music that the elders listened to back then.
I listen to a variety of music like pop , country , soul , R&B ,gospel and etc. . .
