The main idea of this article was that Nelson Mandela had a great effect on the world, but he may not have gotten what he wanted.
The "born frees" were born at the end of the apartheid, and make up about 40% of the population.
Mandela's country may not be able to live up to his example and ideals.
In the 20th century, South African black men and women faced much segregation, along with the coloreds.
After change, South Africa has an abundance of resources, but leaders after Mandela have not managed to live up to his example.
Mandela was a great man, and even though I didn't even know he existed, I appreciate him very much. It is sad that the new presidents could not live up to his example, but we continue to move in the right direction, and I have hope that things will get better.
