I'd like to do this.

Wildlife rehabilitation provides care to orphaned, injured or sick wild animals later to return them to their natural habitat. Rehabilitation facilities are run by state governments and by independent organizations. Individuals working in these facilities do so in large part on a voluntary basis and may not have academic qualifications in zoology or other animal sciences. But, they require permits or licenses from state authorities to work with certain native species. Volunteering in rehabilitation facilities is a way for aspiring zoologists to gain experience with animals.
