AGRICULTURAL ADJUSTMENT ADMINISTRATION (AAA)

THE DATE OF ESTABLISHMENT

• The agricultural adjustment administration was established on May 12,1933

PURPOSE

• The purpose was to reduce crop surplus and therefore effectively raise the value of crops

WHO It EFFECTS

• It defected the farmers because they did well out of this new deal
• They were doing good that they produced far too much for the American market
• In Western Europe markets effectively closed to them as a result of a tariff war, then farmers could only sell in America
• Too much product for few people caused prices to plummet

WAS IT SUCCESSFUL

• Started out well, farmers thought businesses would continue going good so they over produced, later businesses went bad and they were forced to throw away a large amount of food

WHAT IT LOKKS LIKE TODAY

• It was said to be unconstitutional but however it's still in action to this day
