I-THOU

• Is a relationship that stresses concrete encounter;
• People meet one another in authentic existence;
• People meet without qualification;
• People meet without objectification of one another;
• The relationship cannot be measured, E.G. pls

I-THOU

• It is an ENCOUNTER;
• It is a MEETING;
• It is a DIALOGUE;
• There is MUTUALITY & EXCHANGE

I-IT

• People do not actually meet;
• The "I" confronts and qualifies an idea;
• Treats the person as an object;
• It is not a dialogue, but a monologue;
• Treats the other as a thing, object, E.G. pls.
