- Takes primaries material and manufactures it
- Example: processing and packaging

- Service industry connecting the producers and the consumers.

- Known to have started 14,000 years ago
- Root crops - Reproduced by cultivation of roots or cuttings from the plants.
- Seed crops - Reproduced by cultivation of seeds.
PLANT DOMESTICATION
- Allowed for enough crops to grow to sustain a population
- Plant domestication is suggested to have began 14000 years ago
- Marks the start of Neolithic Revolution (first agricultural revoloution)
