  • Organic agriculture is production of crops without synthetic or industrial produced pesticides.

  • Example: farming, extracting raw materials

  • Takes primaries material and manufactures it
  • Example: processing and packaging

  • Root crops - Reproduced by cultivation of roots or cuttings from the plants.
  • Seed crops - Reproduced by cultivation of seeds.

  • Allowed for enough crops to grow to sustain a population
  • Plant domestication is suggested to have began 14000 years ago
  • Marks the start of Neolithic Revolution (first agricultural revoloution)
