  • Ahmose drove out the Hyksos with their own weapons, which was one of the Hyksos best advantages.
  • The Hyksos killed Ahmose's father Seqenenre Taa I, which made Ahmose want to get them out.
  • The Hyksos ruled for 150 years until Ahmose drove them out.
  • Ahmose is called the founder of he new kingdom dynasty because the new kingdom began after he took over.
  • Ahmose was called a "warrior king" because he physically fought against the Hyksos

  • Ahmose was 10 years old when he began his Pharaohood.
  • Ahmose married his sister, Queen Nefertari back then it was wise and legal to marrie family because the power will stay in the family
  • Ahmose made Nubia (archery) Egypt's specialty as it had been before the Hyksos took over.
  • Ahmose ordered the construction of some of the last pyramids to be built by Native Egyptians
  • Ahmose was a pharaoh for 25 years (1550-1525 B.C.

  • Ahmose died at age 35, in the year 1546 B.C.
  • Geniologists believe that he had 2 tombs, the first a ceremonial tomb, and then a second.
  • The ceremonial tomb in Abysos has the last true pyramid to be built in Ancient Egypt that is 70 meters squared.
  • Ahmose's mummy was found within the royal cache of mummies.
  • Amenhotep I (Ahmose's son)was pharaoh after ahmose died.
