Air masses and fronts

A maritime tropical is an air mass that is wet and warm. It forms over water like a ocean or sea.

A continental polar air mass is cold, and dry and it forms over land.

A maritime polar air mass is a cold and wet air mass, and it forms over water.

A continental arctic is the dry and bitterly cold, and it forms over land.

A maritime arctic is a air mass that is wet and very very cold, and it forms over water.

Continental polar is a air mass that is warm and dry, and it forms over land.

Air Fronts

There are four different types of fronts, the warm front, cold front, stationary front, and the occluded front.
