  • Finger/manual dexterity, this includes being able to use a keyboard, sort and repair things, use hand tools, and move and sort objects.
  • Good communication skills, meaning being able to listen to instructions and speak clearly well.
  • Good problem solver
  • Have quick reaction time to any posible danger

Drawbacks

  • Many pilots have to spend a lot of time away from home and their families because of working schedules.
  • The first few years are usually not very well paying because the salary in this business is usually a system of seniority. Because of this it is usually really hard to switch airlines because you go back to the botte m in seniority.
  • There are some health concerns possible such as having an irregular sleeping pattern

  • If you fail your medical test that is done yearly you can lose your job. This is because it would no longer be safe for that pilot to fly the plane.

  • Being a pilot means a lot of travel and time away from home as well as being away from family. This means if your going to be a pilot you have to really love your job.
  • Being a calm and logical person as there are possible dangers and emergencies associated with this job.
