PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1. What happened first?
Nov.19, 2000 she imagined doing a backflip on her snowboard, but over rotated and landed on rocks, shattering her spine in three places paralyzing her from waist down.
2. What happened next?
Fall of 2002 she saw a group of wheelchair athletes playing 5 on 5 basketball fiercely. Then she didn't have an excuse to be lazy she was challenged
3. What happened after that?
2004 she made the Paralympics team as an alternate then in 2008 she got her shot in Beijing while training a thought hit her
"why not try skiing too"
4. Then what happened?
She vocalized her aspirations to ski coach saying she wanted to train more aggressively to make the Vancouver squad. She made it winning two gold medals, a silver, and a bronze.
5. What happened last?
A few days later, she returned for the giant slalom and took fourth despite catching an edge and doing a 360 degree turn on the course. That kind of resolve recently earned her induction into the superman hall of heroes which honors people who make a difference in the lives of others.
