Highest Peak

The highest peak in Alaska is Mount McKinley.
It is 6,194 meters high.It is also the highest peak in North America.

Dog Mushing

The main race is called the Iditarod which can take up to 3 weeks to complete in March. It
is a very exiting/ popular dog race in Alaska.

Northern Lights were found in 1621 by a French scientist named Pierre Gassendi. Northern Lights are made by particles from the sun magnetic forces and gas.

  • Oil brings in almost all the states mining income
  • Alaska is the nations 2nd biggest producer after texas
  • Oil is found in Kenai Peninsula,Cook Inlet, and Prudhoe Bay
  • Wherever oil is found there is usually natural gas too

  • The inuits hunted fish,whales,seals,caribou,and polor bears to eat.
