  • Capital- Tirana
  • Major Cities- Tirana, Durrës, Elbasan, Vlorë.
  • Languages- Albanian, Italian, Greek, and French.
  • Religions- Islam, Christianity, and Sunni and Shia.

  • Government- Parliamentary Republic
  • Currency- Albanian lek, 1 Albanian Lek equals 0.0081 U.S. dollars.
  • Area- Southeastern Europe.
  • Population- 2.774 million.

  • Attitudes- Very Polite, Talk to Everyone They Know.
  • Greetings- Talking Loudly and Making Alot of Eye Contact.
  • Courtesies- Kissing and Hugging is polite, smiling is impolite.
  • Activities- Walks, Storytelling, and Dance Clubs.

Foods of albania

  • Lamb
  • Lakror (a mixture of eggs, meat, and vegetables).
  • Fėrgesë (minced meat, eggs, and ricotta cheese).

  • National Historical Museum- Albania's largest museum.
  • Mount Dajti- in central Albania, gets heavy snow in winter.
  • Skanderbeg Square- main plaza, made in 1968.
  • Rozafa Castle- most historic landmark, built between 150BC and 167BC.

  • Bratko Museum- Has mostly Asian art, but has art from 17 different cultures.
  • TID Tower- High-rise in Tirana, about 25 stories tall.

  • Tirana International Film Fest- First Albanian film festival.
  • Friends' Interests- Telling Stories and Playing Hide and Seek.
  • Clothes- Jeans, Tee-Shirts, Hats and Gloves, Winter Coat, Pajamas.

Cultures/customs

  • Stories- Besa Konstandinit (AKA Constandis Promise)
  • Rites of Passage- Birth/Birthday, marriage, and death (no matter what religion).
  • Families- Very welcoming and polite.
  • Dating/Marriage- Household things are the wives responsibility, you can get married if you are 18 years old.

Real Albanian Clothes

Country information

  • Health- Many diseases so I had to get vaccines.
  • Transportation- Rental cars, Taxis, Buses, and Trains.
  • Government- Albania has the main rules like in the United States.
  • Economy- Economy is also the same in Albania as the U.S.
  • Money- Travelers can get lek at ATM's but lek is not valuable anywhere else.
