• Farmers make whiskey from corn, because whiskey was sold at a higher price and it was easier to transport
• Alexander Hamilton taxed whiskey
• Farmers refused to pay and burned down tax collectors house
• George Washington sent troops to enforce the law
• The troops arrested some farmers, eventually the farmers gave in to the tax

The U.S. Was in debt because the borrowed so much money to finance the revolutionary war

Alexander Hamiliton had an idea to pay off all the old debts in full

HE WOULD SELL SECURITY BONDS TO INVESTORS TO PAY OFF OLD DEBTS.

HE IS ON THE TEN DOLLAR BILL

Alexander Hamiliton wanted to make a bank that used all the same form of currency

MOST STATES USED THEIR OWN FORM OF MONEY AND HE WANTED TO CHANGE THAT.
