• We use variables if we don't know the value of something
• And want to figure it out.
• Example
• Johnny went to the apple orchard. In total he picked a apples.
• How many did he pick total if he picked 3 of each of 7 trees?

INEQUALITY

• An inequality is used to tell you the realative
• of two values.
• Example.
• The airplane was faster than the train.
• You can also write that like a>t.

EQUATIONS

• Equations have helped me understand math better in many ways.
• They have helped me solve math problems correctly.
• They also have helped me know when to add,subtract,multiply,
• or divid.

PERSONAL EXAMPLE

• I have used equations when
• I was in a cooking class and I had to
• divid up the recipe to get the right amount
• of what I needed.
