HABITAT

• Southeast America and China
• Fresh water: wetlands, swamps

BEHAVIOR

• Territorial
• Short bursts of speed
• Kill with a single bite

BABY ALLIGATORS

• Males build the nest
• Females defend the eggs in the nest
• An egg tooth helps the babies to hatch
• The largest threat to babies are adult alligators
