  • So powerful they can take down birds and animals that are larger than itself.
  • Females are larger than the male.
  • Their eyes don't move in their sockets. They swivel their heads more than 180 degrees.
  • They are nocturnal. Sometimes they swallow their prey whole.
  • These owls can live 5-15 years old. Their wingspan is 3-4 ft. They are around 2-5.5 ponds.
