  • They are named in alphabetical order, and rotated from boy to girl
  • "Hurricane" comes from Taino Indian word meaning Hurakan meaning "Big Wind"

  • Over $100 billion dollars in damage
  • 1,836 deaths
  • Was the worst natural disaster in U.S. history of loss of property and human life

  • September 13-16, 2004 near Alabama Gulf Coast
  • Over $4.5 billion dollars in damage
  • 14 deaths
  • One of the most damaging hurricanes to affect the western Florida Panhandle in U.S history

  • October 21, 2012 in New York to New Jersey
  • Over 33 billion dollars worth of damage
  • 125 deaths
  • One of U.S's most damaging earthquakes in history
