Generally Awesome Stuff

• I'm the oldest of 4, but also the oldest of all my cousins
• I love traveling and have been to several other countries
• Though I have been abroad, I have never been to Canada, despite growing up an hour and a half from the border
• My parents are the most supportive people in the entire world

Hobbies

• Reading! Currently A Storm of Swords by George RR Martin
• Watching Game of Thrones-Not done with Season 6 yet, so no spoilers please!
• Knitting-Currently working on a scarf, but have knit lots of different things in the past
• Visiting The Accidental Artist in downtown New Bern for paint your own pottery

I am originally from Fowlerville, MI, but recently moved to New Bern, NC where I just finished my first year teaching 4th Grade.

Me As A Teacher

• I firmly believe my students need to try and problem solve with their partners/groups on their own before asking me for help
• I am better at teaching math than language arts, though language arts was always my favorite class
• I eventually want to get a job teaching middle school science
