What is the meteorology event all about?

The meteorology event will challenge the participants of their knowledge of everyday weather and interpretation of weather related images such as weather patterns along with maps, charts, and tables.

EXAMPLES OF WEATHER RELATED TOPICS INCLUDE:

• Atmosphere
• Properties of water
• Clouds: formation of high, middle, low clouds.
• Storms and other hazardous weather
• Weather forecasting
• Atmospheric pressure
• Precipitation: types, formation, and hazards

WHAT ARE THE EVENT PARAMETERS?

• Max. Members per team: 2
• Approx. time: 50 minutes
• Option to bring: one, 3-ring binder of any size; two stand-alone calculators; additional supplies will not be required for stations (experiments, labs, etc.)

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD STUDY PREPARATION

• 1x week via Quizzes, Kahoots, etc. (TBD)
• 1x month station practice (TBD)
