DESCRIPTION

  • The alpine tundra is a biome that doesn't contain any trees because of it's high altitude.

  • There are only about 200 plants able to survive in the high altitudes.
  • Tussock grasses, dwarf trees, small-leafed shrubs, and heaths are examples of plant life in the alpine tundra.
  • Fauna: yellow-bellied marmots, pikas, and ptarmagins.
