• For instance the Rocky Mountains peaks are alpine tundra.
• Isn't that amazing?

LOCATION

• The alpine tundra is found at 60 degrees N latitude
• And 120 to 160 W longitude

TEMPERATURES

• The Alpine is very cold
• Summer temperatures range fromn 50-60 degrees F
• Winter temperatures are below freezing which is 32 degrees F

FLORA

• Flora in the alpine grows very slowly.

FAUNA

• Birds such as the Harlequin duck/snowy owl adapt by migrating in the winter
• The grizzly also hibernates for their adaption
